About Mark Harris

After completing his building apprenticeship in Christchurch, Mark moved to the UK and spent 7 years doing loft conversions and working on high-end houses, gaining enormous experience and expertise in the workmanship required in the very best of homes.

Returning to Canterbury, Mark has been involved in various building renovations but one was a significant project that involved relocating ten ‘red zone’ houses onto a dairy farm. Mark’s role included building the slabs, bolting them down and managing the reconstruction of each house.

Since then, Mark and wife Aisling started a family and now working on smaller projects allows him to spend more time with his family (and the dog George) exploring the outdoors.

Although it was never intentional to specialise in bathrooms, Mark says the business grew organically.

Although it was never intentional to specialise in bathrooms, Mark says the business grew organically.

“One bathroom after another kept coming up and I started to really enjoy doing them. I enjoy working directly with the clients, I like that contact.”

“To see the transformations and the joy it brings people is very satisfying.  The more I do the more I enjoy this work and I guess the experience I’ve got now helps me identify potential problems and come up with a solution pretty quickly.”

A quote from a customer testimonial sums it up: “Mark is the best younger carpenter I have come across.” – Neil Bremner
